I'm also wondering about the "menu"-button. Is the point to get to the recovery-screen? Then I press power and the down-button. The menu-button does nothing.

I'm in Khade's position. First off, there is no physical menu-button. Only power, vol+ and vol-.
Pressing power and vol- takes you to a recovery-screen. Connecting the tablet to the pc gives me two "removable discs", and trying to flash gives errors like "DownBootloader: failed" etc..

Very frustrating. There are 5 touchpoints and I assume only capacitive screens are capable of that, so it should be the v7+. It looks exactly like this tablet - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaIkDKt6g10

I was able to flash it now by pressing all three buttons(power, vol+ and vol-) for three seconds, and then my pc recognized a disk called VDFu. So you're not supposed to see anything on your tablet's screen, but your pc will recognize it.

However, I apparently have the "old" mainboard since the screen doesn't respond. Great I've had it for ten days and apparently it's already old. Thanks a lot wopad..... I'll try the zixoon later, but I'm majorly disappointed with this company. Fix a new firmware for us old-timers asap.

  • ~ Very good tablet!

    By

My job allows me to test and review many different kinds of tablets. I had the pleasure of testing the woPad i8 for about 2 weeks, and I must say it is a very good and reliable tablet for the price. The user interface is a lot better compared to other Android tablets. The touchpad is very responsive and may require some getting used to. The HD screen is amazing. It has one of the clearest pictures I have seen from a tablet. It is capable of displaying Flash which is definately a plus. The weight is also very manageable, a person can carry it around without it being too cumbersome. All in all the woPad i8 is a very good deal. It is half the price of Apple's IPAD 2 and can do most of the functions just as"
